nothin to very little
got Walden II today, traded it for three bags of produce I grew in the garden. I wonder what B.F.Skinner would have thought about that.
The coop is taking most of my time. and I haven't told you about working for the Business Lobby yet. I will be the head dorm counselor for the Idaho Business Week at the Northwest Nazarene University meeting of the Idaho Business Week indoctrination of Capitalism for IACI; the said business lobby of the Idaho Legislature. have I told you that I consider myself an anarcho-communist? that'll be some bloggin'.
hopefully one week working for capitalists will completely fund the attic expansion. my office in the sky.
I had to order a new mother board and processor - haven't put em in yet. still need to build trellises for the melons and beans first. not to mention the mountain of reading.
well I love you all,
ciao

back from the brask (neb-a)
a one week reunion with the famdamly. very good at reminding me who I really am. who I was and thus more into who I will.
my cousin is a systems tech for Apple now. gets all the new shit first so as to support it for the sales reps throughout Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, and one more that I can't remember. Most importantly he gets a 15% friends and family discount! An 8 gig nano for the price of 4.
Didn't get enough reading done so still have a mountain of books to mine - as well as a meeting with Brad to accomplish this week.
Will let you know tomorrow how far I got today.

so now... READ
Goin' to Nebraska for the week - gunna go see my cousins growing up strong on soil of the farm
While we Idaho mountain folk grow even stronger out West on the rocks of the mountains...
I plan on reading a pile,
to be more specific...
- a college textbook on learning theories which I will use to read about behaviorism called Human Learning it's in its third edition and it's by Jeanne Ormrod
- A selection by Adler and Dewey, Experience and Education by Dewey and A Guide to Learning by Adler
- Science of Education and the Psychology of the Child by Piaget
- Multiple Intellegences, The Theory in Practice by Gardner
- The Archeology of Knowledge by Foucault, and
-
Utopia Or Oblivion by R. Buckminster Fuller
After that its right on to the paper.
I am a little confused about the assignment to "conduct community interviews and create a community issue outline"... what do you think? I am thinking this will be a good tool to focus the paper. I will interview Dana, Shapiro, and Brad as "experts," and then a few local yoculs downtown for the broader perspective.
Right so on to some reading... I gots to get packin before too late as well

okay so the damn computer still isn't working
and not for lack of trying! damn... I guess I need to send the shit back in - at least the motherboard, maybe its the processor though. right so that's been a part of my thought processes all week.
yesterday was my first real day off and so I found all the books for this and the next class. still need to get a bunch of articles as well as read everything, but that is the best thing about this coursework - I choose all of the literature - so I WANT to read it. I don't choose stuff I don't really want to read... well I choose few that I am not too excited about but it's stuff that I see as necessary .
Talked to Brad about mentoring the curriculum course and its a go. He's teaching a course on Dewey in like a month that I will probably audit like half of.
Here it is... my nose approaching my summer grindstone.

frustrrrrrations
well, girlfriend noted today that I have the tendancy to put my education last - that I always say I'll do it after the yard work, after work work, errands, you name it - and she's right.
This school was going to be different, and it is different no shitty professors or classmates to blame, it is different, but I am not... not yet.
I got my computer and haven't had time to put it together - well I made time for that and... they warned me "don't put your own computer together Ben, if you mess it up it will all be for naught... NAUGHT!" I can't get a video image out of it, nothing, no BIOS, no CMOS, NOTHING! so now I got the whole they told you so complex goin' on.
This has been a goal of mine for many a year, put linux on a home brewed machine and Ubuntu was going to let me do it - finally a supported distro that I would feel okay about using for everything I wanted to do and then a whole lot more. I am sure I got everything in there right... I am afraid that the motherboard is just bad and I'll have to wait to ship it back.
and its hot, very hot... I wish to wallow in mud and sip icy lemonade, nothing else, buuuuuuut I get to go to the second job in an hour. which to say since I work at the Boise co-op is like watching rich people (pigs) do just that, except they pay out the ass for the mud, and instead of just buying lemons and sugar, their bottle has a fancy label.
oh yeah... skool werk. well I do need some help finding some books. Tonight... yeah tonight... after watching pigs drink fancy(expensive) lemonade all night.
lets see if I can cross any of those to-dos tonight, eh, shall we?
